If you are looking for something more traditional and romantic this Valentine’s Day for you and your significant other we have chosen two great options. City Winery will be hosting a chocolate and wine pairing for $35 that will provide guests with the opportunity to taste various wines from smooth reds to sweet and sparkling wines. All wines will be paired with decadent chocolates for tasting while beverage director Evan Danielson explains why each pairing works well together. A more high-end option is the “Tasting for Two” five-course gourmet dinner at the Chef & I. Tickets for this intimate dinner are $365 per couple with the option of adding a wine pairing for $65 per guest. The five-course menu offers divine creations that include a seafood tower, blue camembert cheese, pan fried lion’s mane mushrooms, wagyu beef and a specialty chocolate dessert. GALentine’s Day takes place the day before Valentine’s Day and there are many fun events going on this week for you and your girl gang. LA Jackson, a Nashville-famous rooftop bar at the top of the Thompson Hotel, is hosting their very own Galentine’s celebration. There will be Sex in the City themed cocktails, brunch inspired bites and a DJ beginning at 7pm. Activities such as a gratitude box will give guests the opportunity to write postcards to their girlfriends that are in other cities or states. On February 12th the Paddywax Candle Bar is hosting a Galentine’s workshop. Tickets for the event are $50 and include the pouring of four custom candles all of which may have different scents, custom Valentine’s-inspired wraps for the candles and a complimentary glass of rose. Guests are also welcome to bring in their own alcohol of choice, with an $8 glassware and corking fee. Both would be perfect girls night options!

Valentine’s Day falls on a Friday this year. There are several themed outings at various bars around town. Some of our favorites we are highlighting are Cupid’s Crawl at AJ’s Goodtime Bar and Boos + Booze at Pins Mechanical. The second annual Cupid’s Crawl kicks off at AJ’s and goes all the way down broadway. For $15 you can choose your color cup to represent your relationship status- green for single, red for taken and yellow for it’s complicated and mingle with others over the Cupid’s Crawl signature drink. Pins Mechanical, one of Nashville’s newer bars in the heart of the Gulch, is celebrating with Boos + Booze. Their specialty cocktail of the night is Love Struck, a combination of gin, St. Germain, grenadine, pineapple juice, Sprite and heart candies. Each guest will receive a Valentine Mad Lib that they can then fill out and post on their social media for a chance to win $150 Pins and 16-Bit gift card. No matter who you plan to celebrate with this year there are plenty of great options to choose from!
