Moody Kitchens

The heart of the home has been getting a lot of attention recently and it’s easy to see why! Where we used to expect neutral tones has now been upgraded to incorporate bold colors that we are loving. When icons like Kendall Jenner, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, and the Beckhams started sharing the content of their marvelously moody kitchens, the world was soon to follow. Now we’re seeing dark cabinetry, countertops, and detailing popping up in homes all over! Whether you’re spicing up the color palette with earthy tones or embracing the boldness of a classic black look, it’s incredible what a coat of new paint can do!

Quiet Room

A post-covid trend that we’ve seen spike is the desire for a quiet room. By simply designating an area for peace within the house, you’re creating a home where your family can enjoy simply being at home. We have rooms dedicated to cooking, gathering, working, sleeping, and eating, but these days people are craving a quiet escape to enjoy a book, hobby, or maybe a nap! However you choose to spend your time here, you’ll soon find that this space becomes one of your favorites.

Banquettes/Breakfast Nooks

These restaurant-style nooks are one of our favorite finds! This simple stylish seating can certainly level up your look. These spots are super versatile being that you can dress them up or down with different cushions and pillows, and you’ll find some of these even offer convenient storage compartments. Whether you’re talking about the low-key space-savers or the bold banquettes bringing in all the attention, breakfast nooks are becoming more and more popular.

Coastal Grandma

This term was first coined on TikTok when videos showing this style gained popularity, it refers to a picturesque, laid-back, chic style, utilizing textiles, and woods, often embracing calming blues and cream colors. Now, don’t take this style too literally, this does not mean we’re running out for doilies or collecting those cheesy ‘Life is a Beach’ signage. This style simply refers to the airy atmosphere created by an elegant balance of new and old pieces existing in harmony. To really nail this aesthetic we suggest utilizing candles and decorating with fresh flowers!

There are endless options when it comes to wallpaper so this is something that anyone can incorporate into their own space. There are a lot of different factors to consider when contemplating this trend. Are you trying to make a small space spunky? Hoping to add a little extra with an accent wall? Hoping to catch the eye with bold colors and patterns? Or perhaps just adding subtle detailing with a bit of texture? This fun design step adds so much character to your home and allows you to put your own spin on the space.

Chocolate Hues

While some are embracing a more intense color scheme, others are finding comfort in the calming presence of shades of brown. That’s right! The earthy tones bring us that feeling of being grounded and with varying chocolate tones, homeowners can really create a stunning environment. By utilizing a balance of woods and fabrics, the cozy welcoming feel within these spaces is evident!
