Mercy Lounge
Located on Cannery Row in Downtown Nashville, Mercy Lounge is a favorite among locals and is well-known all over the country. Since it first opened in 2003, it has featured bands on the rise, as well as superstars like The White Stripes and John Fogerty. Known for its trendy and cosmopolitan vibe, Mercy Lounge has a standing room capacity of 500, and boasts a state-of-the-art sound system and a relaxing bar area.
B.B. King’s Blues Club & Restaurant
One of downtown Nashville’s most popular entertainment venues, the club treats its guests to daily and nightly performances by top-rated acts, including the house band, B.B. King’s Blues Club All-Star Band. Enjoy great music inspired by the King of Blues and other legends like Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, and Ray Charles. The Ryman Auditorium
Opened in 1892 in downtown Nashville, this National Historic Landmark and Nashville institution has been graced by music legends like Johnny Cash, Patty Griffin and Neil Young, and continues to be a favorite venue by top musical acts of all genres. In addition to being an entertainment venue, the Ryman is also a Nashville attraction, offering tours and exhibits showcasing artifacts from its rich history.
Grand Ole Opry House
No trip to Nashville is complete without experiencing this phenomenal live entertainment show, considered Nashville’s number one attraction. The biggest names in country music have all been part of the Grand Ole Opry since it debuted as a radio show in 1925. It has been staged at the Grand Ole Opry House since 1974 when it moved from the Ryman Auditorium, its original permanent home, but comes back to the Ryman during the winter.
The Station Inn
Located at The Gulch, this widely popular entertainment venue has been the home of bluegrass and roots music in Nashville since the 70s, with big name performers like Bobby Osborne, Bill Monroe and Allison Kraus having graced its stage. The Station Inn boasts a casual atmosphere where guests can enjoy great music every night over food and drinks. Merchandise is also available at the venue’s shop.
The Basement
This cozy spot is a favorite among fans and performers of acoustic and rock music. Located below the popular Grimey’s New and Preloved Music record store, The Basement provides an intimate setting that makes a concert experience even more special. Musicians who have performed here include up-and-coming bands and solo acts, as well as rock royalties like Metallica and Mumford & Sons, who staged unannounced shows at this venue in between their major gigs.
